The Founding Years

Our Humble Beginnings

Navstar Digital Hub began as a small cyber and training desk with a simple conviction: every young person in our region deserved real digital skills, not just a glimpse of a computer. From a single room, a handful of machines and one dedicated trainer, we started teaching computer packages to school leavers, job seekers and curious minds from across the community. Word travelled fast. Students who had never touched a keyboard were typing their first letters, printing their first documents and confidently browsing the internet within weeks. That early hunger for digital knowledge shaped everything Navstar would become — a place where technology is taught patiently, practically and personally. Those founding years taught us our most enduring lesson: give people skills, not just services. It remains the heartbeat of every classroom on our campus today.

Growth & Expansion

Building the Campus

As demand grew, so did the dream. Navstar expanded from its first room into a proper training campus — dedicated computer laboratories, a printing and production desk, student consultation spaces and an administration office that could finally handle enrollment paperwork the modern way. We grew our course catalog beyond basic computer packages into business studies, technical training and digital skills programmes, each designed around what employers and self-employment in Kenya actually demand. More campuses and learning centres followed, extending the Navstar experience beyond our home town so that students could train closer to home. Every new building, lab and branch was funded by the same principle: plough earnings back into better equipment, better trainers and better opportunities for our students.

The Digital Leap

Going Fully Digital

Navstar has always been a digital hub by name — and we worked hard to become one by nature. We rebuilt our operations around a complete digital ecosystem: online enrollment with instant admission numbers, student portals with live fee accounts, automated report cards, digital certificates with verifiable QR codes and an AI-assisted learning management system. Our ICT services desk grew alongside the classroom, offering professional web design, data recovery, IT consulting, networking and digital marketing to real clients — giving our advanced students a live environment to practise what they learn. Today, from enrollment to graduation, a Navstar student can complete their entire academic journey online: register for modules, sit exams, track attendance, chat with tutors and download official documents — all from one secure platform.

A Community of Technocrats

What truly makes Navstar is its people. Our campus is a community of technocrats — students, tutors, staff and alumni who learn together, build together and celebrate together. Birthday wishes go out across the platform, the forum keeps conversations alive, the music page keeps spirits high, and alumni return to review their courses and mentor the next intake. Student life here is practical and warm. Group projects turn classmates into colleagues. Tutors know students by name. Support tickets never go unanswered — every issue is tracked as a formal ticket until it is resolved. Financial support through scholarships and bursaries ensures that no capable student is left behind by circumstance. We measure our culture not in trophies but in transformations: the shy student who now presents confidently, the school leaver who now earns from digital skills, the graduate who now employs others.

Our road ahead is clear: more campuses, more programmes, deeper industry partnerships and an ever-smarter learning platform. We are investing in advanced technical tracks, expanding financial assistance, and preparing every graduate with the digital fluency the future of work demands.
